Good Morning All,
MMDHD staff member conducted a site visit to Rainbow Lake, August 22nd to investigate the report of a harmful algal bloom. After investigation it was determined that the issue observed was duck weed. No sampling or testing was conducted at this time. Below is a link to the Harmful Algal Bloom Picture Guide for your reference and the State of Michigan’s Harmful Algal Bloom tool page. At this time this department considers the issue to closed.
